Salary range for this position is $127,753-$169-291; Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Pharmacy Operations Manager oversees operations of pharmacy department(s). They ensure policy, procedures, performance standards and service expectations are met and takes corrective staff action planning to mitigate efforts that impact OSF Healthcare. They work collaboratively and maintains positive relationships with facility administrators, stakeholders, and necessary committees to meet business, regulatory, and service requirements. This role effectively manages the capital, financial and human resources of the assigned pharmacy department(s), including implementation of the pharmacy department's strategic plan, annual goals and policies/procedures. They own responsibility to meet and exceed outcome metric goals for entity(s) pharmacy.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited school of pharmacy
Licenses/Certifications: PHRM-Pharmacist
Experience: 4 years of contemporary health-system pharmacy experience or completion of a PGY2 Pharmacy Administration residency. 1 year of informal leadership experience in Pharmacy (i.e. leaders of interdisciplinary team/committee, team lead, peformance improvement project leader).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Professional knowledge of pharmacy practice, defined as the principles, standards, and technology applicable to pharmaceutical services and medication safety. Working knowledge and previous experience with the standards and technology applicable to pharmacy services and medication safety. Demonstrated proficiency in analytical skills necessary to develop, implement and administer policies, procedures, analyze financial and clinical data and prepare clear, concise reports that identify opportunities and propose appropriate action plans and budgets. Interpersonal skills in order to coach, mentor and effectively lead assigned personnel, facilitate/organize/direct the work of others and to maintain positive relationships among leadership, ministry/facility staff and internal/external stakeholders. Demonstrated proficiency in written/verbal communications, problem solving, independent problem solving, decision‑making abilities, creativity, prioritization/delegation and necessary computer-related skill. Working knowledge of an electronic medical record.
