Our client, a thriving customer-focused long-term care pharmacy, is seeking an experienced pharmacy leader with LTC experience to oversee daily pharmacy operations. The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for directing the workforce in the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy and managing costs to established goals. We are looking for a motivated and entrepreneurial-spirited pharmacist with great leadership skills and experience in a long term care pharmacy operation.
Major duties include:
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations and ensure all prescriptions are input, filled and dispensed accurately, timely and within budget
- Responsible for the training and development of staff, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies
- Responsible for the management and balancing of the pharmacy inventory to ensure maximum turns while still remaining in-stock for customer needs
- Ensures pharmacy technology is being used to its fullest potential to insure a maximum return on investment of the technology and life span
- Ensure outstanding customer service is exhibited by all employees at all times
- Assist in the communication of company goals to all pharmacy department personnel
- Interface with various auditors and outside agencies, as needed
- Oversight responsibilities to ensure facilities are compliant with all state and federal regulations and requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree (Pharmacy) or PharmD. (preferred)
- PA Pharmacist license without restrictions
- 3+ years of pharmacy operations experience in a LTC pharmacy setting
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Great attention to detail and accuracy and ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Knowledge and experience with Frameworks LTC a plus
