Job Description
Pharmacy Technician
Responsibilities: Under the supervision of a Pharmacist, performs a wide variety of duties in the delivery of pharmaceutical care in specialty pharmacies (i.e. the Pediatric Pharmacy, Critical Care Pharmacy, and Oncology Pharmacy) and inpatient pharmacy. Along with other staff, delivers medication-related services to in-house patients, and related take-home medication services. Assists Pharmacists in performing quality control procedures for drug distribution technologies. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System. .
Mandatory Qualifications: HS diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam. 18 years of age or older with no felony convictions. Current/Certified Pharmacy Technician from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
Physical Requirements: Standing for long periods of time.
